1. Tigi Bed Head Maxxed-Out Massive Hold Hairspray

This hairspray is literally magic. It dries really quickly and gives my hair this shiny quality. It’s not heavy like some other hairsprays and it really holds the fort with some of the more complicated hair-dos and it sort of protects from some minimal heat damage. I love it!

2. NARS Pierre Hardy Blush Rotonde

NARS Pierre Hardy Blush Rotonde

This blush is just amazing. It has a silky feel to it and gives a sort of natural finish to your makeup. It’s blendable and it’s one of the few blushes that my skin doesn’t react to.

 3. Bourjois Effect 3D Lip Gloss

£7.99

Borjois Effect 3D Lip Gloss

I don’t know about you but collecting lip gloss is like, a passion to me. This one caught my eye in particular because of it’s lovely natural colour and voluminous look. It keeps your lips moist and shiny. Also the brush makes it easy to apply so it doesn’t spread all about when you’re putting it on.

4. Rimmel London 5 Pan Eyeshadow

£5.50

I just loved this eye shadow by Rimmel London because all the colours were natural nude sorts. Nothing too over-the-top, just 5 basic colours for the regular every-day look. Amazing!

5. Ciate Chocolate Nourishing and Gentle Nail Polish Remover

£10.00

Ciate Chocolate Nourishing & Gentle Nail Polish Remover

The first and foremost best thing about this nail polish remover is that it leaves behind a lovely chocolate smell once it dries. I. was. sold. It’s really soft on the nails and nourishes them. But who cares, right, it freaking smells like chocolate!

6. Yes To Carrots Intense Softening Hand Cream

£8.00

Yes To Carrots Intense Softening Hand Cream

Since I live in a pretty cold place and my hands are dry anyway, this hand cream is like a godsend. It’s moisturising and really nourising and I totally recommend it if you have dry hands because it’s awfully good.

How To Make and Keep those Resolutions

It’s that time of year again – a time for reflection for the year gone by, and a time of hope for good fortune in the year to come. As Edith Pierce said “The book is called ‘Opportunity’ and its first chapter is New Year’s Day.” Wouldn’t you love to make this year of your life the best one yet? So that when you’re at the end of it, you feel better about yourself than you did at the end of this one? That’s exactly why we make resolutions. But, come on, lets be honest, nobody really keeps them. We mean to, but that sort of motivation and perseverance all year round is way too much to ask of anyone. But, as it is, that’s where I come in. Here’s how you can make resolutions and make them stick!

1. Don’t be too extravagant and unrealistic

dogs

Keep it real. Go some place quite where you can think and then make a list of things you want to change. Don’t make the list dauntingly long because the longer it is, the faster you’re going to give up on it. Only include those things on your list that are really important to you. Don’t make your goals unrealistically hard to achieve. If, for instance, you want to cut down on junk food, you’ve got to tone it down a bit. Replace desert with fruits you like or exercise 4 days a week instead of the planned 7. You’ll get there eventually.

2. Change little by little

dogs

Bad habits take years to form and set in. So why should good habits be any different? It’s not easy (or possible) to change overnight so give yourself a break and go slow. Change a little bit every day (or week) and work your way toward the goal. You can’t just go like “Happy New Year! Now hurry up and completely change yourself and your life!” It just doesn’t work that way and you know it.

3. Tell people – remind yourself!

dogs

Telling your family and friends about your resolutions is always great because they can be constant reminders to you about what you need to do. Make copies of your resolution – at home in your room, on the fridge, on your phone, at school in your locker. The more you see it, the more you remind yourself to do those things!

4. “New year, new you” takes time

dogs

Don’t beat yourself up if you miss one day. Minor setbacks are OK and it’s completely fine to mess up once in awhile. Nobody’s perfect right? Just remember to keep at it as much as you can.

5. Find a friend

dogs

Having a friend with similar goals is always a great way to keep motivated. Maybe the both of you can work on your resolutions together and make plans and schedules for it. The more the merrier!

Thats all from me for now! Happy new year everyone! Have an amazing one! Keep your head up and make the best of it!

How To Make A Girl’s Day

So recently someone emailed me asking  how to make a girl feel special. I don’t know if this person asked as a friends or if this person likes a girl and wants to let her know she’s more than a friend to him. In any case, I thought I’d lend a hand to all those guys out there who’re wondering how to make their best girl friends or their girlfriends feel special. No matter who you are, here are some ways to make a girls day.

1. Compliment her

lifeasiseeit

This one’s simple and outright and pretty much obvious. Ever girl wants to and loves to be complimented (who doesn’t?). Whether this is your girlfriend (or someone you wish was your girlfriend) or yourfriend, the simplest way to make her smile is compliment her. Now be sure to space out the compliments. Don’t just pour them all into a a paragraph and make it all awkward. Just lay them on from time to time and she’ll definitely feel special around you. Another thing is to make sure you don’t only compliment her on her body or looks. I mean, those are nice and all, but maybe a little compliment on her personality or her eyes would feel a bit more warm and from the heart?

2.Surprise her

surpriseher

A girl loves nothing more than proof that you’ve thought about her while she wasn’t in front of you. Make sure you know her well enough to get her something you know she’ll totally love. Maybe she’s a girly girl and loves bracelets and necklaces? Or maybe she’s a tomboy who likes hats and skateboards. Or a chocoholic? You’ve got to know her well enough to get her something she’ll love. In fact, ever better, is when you make her a gift. There’s nothing more personal than something you grew/made/organised on your own. Thats when shit gets real.

3. Don’t lie

lie

There’s absolutely NOTHING a girl hates more than being lied to, so the simple obvious other is to not lie to her. Girls being the way they are, generally know the truth (80% of the time) so why risk it?

4. Act Like You Care…

youcare

Another simple way to make a girls day is listen to her. Talk to her, go out to eat with her, do something fun with her. In other words, show her you care. That spending time with her is something you like doing. That being seen in public with her (and not always your guy friends) is something you’re not only ‘macho’ enough to do but also love doing. Take her somewhere fun and interesting, make plans for her and listen to what she says. Girls love it when you remember the little things they’ve said earlier. It shows you were actually paying attention.

5. Always notice

newhair

Guys I don’t know why, but this is really important to a girl : always ALWAYS notice when a girl does something new to her hair or her look in general. This is essential to both your happiness and that of the girl in question’s.

6. Respect her

respect

No girl likes a guy who’s always acting like a douche or a little bit too full of himself. I mean, yes, its definitely a fact that us girls are somehow more attracted to guys who aren’t total mama’s boys (a.k.a. the infamous bad boy) but even girls know the limit to acting like a jerk. Your girl deserves to be treated with respect – whether its to her opinions and decisions or to her body and personality. Also, make sure you’re not always talking about yourself when you’re with her. Try to listen to her and ask her how her day was for a change?

7. Don’t take ages to respond

goodmorning

The last (and one of the most important) thing I’m going to tell you is to not take ages to respond to her text. You don’t seem busy, you just seem like a self-obsessed idiot. Its not nice to make a girl wait hours before you respond to her text. Another thing that goes along with this one is to send her a “Good morning” text. Let her know she was the first thing on your mind when you woke up. Girls love good morning texts, don’t ask us why because we probably couldn’t explain it to you anyway. Just do it.

weheartit

All in all guys, don’t be a complete good boy (break the rules for her once in a while) but be sweet and nice and thoughtful. Be there for her when she needs you and be patient with her (as she is with you). Stand up for her and keep her smiling and that ought to let her know you mean something to her. Hope that helped you!

Stay beautiful!

Beauty This Week : Nail Polish & Lipstick

So this week, I went out to the store and got a lot of nail polish (again). Now I’ve been using Bourjois Laser Toppings for a while now but this week I bought Essie’s Bikini So Teeny. Now usually, Essie doesn’t last very long on my nails or their colours don’t appeal to me so I don’t use them. But this one had an amazing colour, and dried real quick (so its not very good for nail art) and its a lovely summer colour (the remainder of it, anyway). I highly recommend it. You can buy it on their website or at your drugstore.

Another thing that I have been loving this week is Lord and Berry Vogue Matte Lipstick in pink. Its a lovely, sort of natural yet defining colour and you can buy it on the asos website, I believe. It has this velvet feel and its easy to apply and gives a sort of fuller appearance to the lips. Its only about 12 euros I believe.
